Has anyone used mini-sligs in their 12ga pardner?
« on: January 17, 2010, 11:15:37 PM »
I got a call from my brother last night and he has what he's calling "mini-slugs". He said these things are 1 3/4" low recoil shells. He liked the idea that they were smaller and less recoil, but they don't feed right in his pump gun. So he thought of me and my single shot.
 Has anyone used these "mini-slugs"? Being that its a 1 3/4" slug will they hurt a barrel chambered 2 3/4" - 3"?
My brother is sending me whats left of a box to see if I like them. I've never used anything other than 2 3/4 shells. I just don't want to hurt my gun using a snake water novelty. Any thoughts?
 Thanks

I have read about those and really have wanted to get a couple of boxes for fun and home defense. They are very hard to find and I have not had any luck yet. They only are reported to feed well in a couple of pump guns, in singles or doubles they will be fine. If you get a chance coulkd you ask him where he got them? Thanks....<><....:)

He got them in trade for doing chainsaw repair. Sorry, that does not help much. He said he would ask next time he see the guy.
  thanks

Were hard to find for some time. Short length increases capacity for home defense. Shotguns are pretty easy to clean.

Thanks, they were out of stock for a long time. Now, since I live in the People's Rebublic of Massachusetts, a socialist state, and am prohibited from buying ammo through the mail, I will have to work my magic and be "gifted" some from a freind that lives close by in a free state.
It will get better for everyone in Massachusetts and the country if Scott Brown wins in the special senate election tomorrow.
It looks better and better all the time. All those who want to shake off the shackles of oppression and socialism, and wish to become free people in this state once again, MUST get out and vote tomorrow.
To those of you that live in free states, since you cannot vote, a prayer would be nice...Thanks...Andy....<><....:)

Andy, I was already going to pray for Mr Brown and all the good people in MA, you folks have been under the thumb of oppression for too long.

Congrats to the people of MA! But now the work really starts. The Obumites will push hard to get their agenda thru before the boot hits their butt. Better get ready.
