New Chronograph at the Range day

got to try out my new chrono at the range today...couldn't wait



some of the usual suspects, 788 in 6mm, 99 in 308, 336W,



the whole set up







boy do I love these little gun holder things.....they come in handy

6mm Rem 788

36.0 H380 / 80 gr coreloct  (light load for my 6 year old son)  2643, 2649, 2676

30/30 Marlin 336W

33.0 H335/Speer 170 Flat  2323, 2309, 2310

31.0 H4895/Speer 170 Flat  2190, 2168, 2204

7mm-08 Rem 700 MTN LSS

40.0 H380/Sierra 150  2471, 2443, 2471

40.0 H335/120 NBT  2901, 2843 


260 Rem 700 MTN LSS

H414/140 coreloct (can't find the load right now but it is slightly above starting)  2466, 2404, 2557 (huh?), 2408

and for the worst load of the day (I do not know where I got this load from)....

I remember when I first got mine , I thought how can bullets going that slow , group so well  ;D

They are a fun little tool to have around and it did help with some of the things I did as far as loading goes , mostly made me think about " Do I realy need that extra 100 FPS " It also helped me make some choices as far as powders go , mostly as to which would do a better job and still give me the results that I was looking for .

Quite so! Helped me fine tune (after many years) my reloading habits. Some good, some not so good. Calmed the ES and SD's quite a bit. Matter of fact, I got out today for the first time in months, and one set of numbers came in at ES = 11, SD = 5 with H4895 in my 356Winchester.

Nice setup there John - thanks for the pics. It snowed and rained on me, so camera stayed in the truck.
