You don't have to reload a pointed stick and a warning shot is a waste of time in most cases a crime in others .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

If I have to defend myself, I sure as hell ain't firing a warning shot. If you make me pull a gun on you, that's all the warning you're getting! The "Judge" is best suited as a snake gun.

I think you are wrong! It is not just a snake gun. A 45 Colt will kill a man with no problem, the 3 pellet buck shot will kill a man, a 410 slug will kill a man.

The Judge is designed as a up close defense gun.

Yes all 3 will kill a man, but that is one big pistol to be carrying around. The slugs and buckshot are not very impressive in penetration tests, and it's to big a package for concealed carry. Give me a govt. model anyday over the Judge.

Anything over a sub compact or J frame is a PITA to carry.

I normally carry a Springfield XD compact in 45 acp, or a govt. model in an IWB Crossbreed Supertuck. They are no problem to carry. Try sticking a Judge IWB, and you Will have a PITA. The other concern I have about the Judge is if the gunfight moves beyond a few yards, the slugs and buckshot will basically be useless out of that short of bbl, now your down to a couple of rounds of 45 LC. I'm not sure but I don't think they have a speedloader for the shotshells. I look at it as more or less as a truck or boat gun (for snakes or other "small" critters). Just my 2 cents worth, your mileage may vary.

John R, I carry a few different guns, depends on my mood. I some times carry a full size 1911, or a Glock 21 SF. Even when I carry a full size gun with me I have my Kal Tec in 380 in my pocket as well. Also in my truck is a gun stashed, so when I am out and about, I always have enough fire power.  :o

I owned a Judge for awhile, it was in my house, next to my bed. I have since replaced it with my Benelli M2 shotgun. Sold the Judge to someone that wanted it more than I did.

Some say I am paranoid, I say I am prepared.  ;D

As for the Judge, it was made for a up close gun, and one to get you out of an encounter, it was not designed for a fire fight. If we understand the intent for certain guns, we will all be just fine. Are there better choices, sure there are.  ;)

Redhawk 1 , I must be as paranoid as you, because there are guns in all my vechicles, as well as a 870 with extended tube next to my bed as well. ;)
