GP 100 Scope base

Has anyone put a scope base for a scope or red dot on their GP? I thought about trying to find one that doesn't need drilling or tapping.

Will the Redhawk clamp-on sight fit the GP 100......er...anyone?

If I find mine, I will test it out.

i had that one on my gp100 i wasent a big fan didnt seem that secure id go for one that you have to drill and tap for maybe a little more hassle but worth it imo

Dude, if you want a rock solid mount w/o D&T, then you need to try this mount. D&T doesn't do much for resale value.

Wish I had gone this route, I used a clamp on model for my redhawk, but I should have spent a little extra.

Thanks for the replies guys, that last one doesn't look too bad.I had one on a 357 taurus that was from taurus and it fastened to the vent rib on that pistol and it always worked ok.I sold the gun after finding this GP that a co-worker wanted to sell because I always had wanted a GP in the first place.

+++ Weigand all the way. Do not have on my GP100, have two on Redhawks. The look nice and are solid. Any questions call Weigand direct,customer service is really good!!

I modified a mount I had bought for a Super Blackhawk. Had a 2x Leupold on it.

Mounts at the rear sight and clamps to the barrel, had in on my gun for years kept Zeroed even with hot .357 Hand Loads.

It's a B-square mount the clamps I made out of stainless the originals were aluminum.

Had to sell the GP100 years ago when I needed money and had no job.

Thanks for the replies guys,I shot my gp today at some targets and it was ok but missed having a scope like the taurus.So I ordered the Weigand mount for it because I still have a pistol scope and some rings around here somewhere. ;D Looks like a good solid mount.
