Wonder why small scopes are only cheap Chinese?

 I look at NcStar and brands other small scopes that if quality made would be really nice for many applications.  Finding a decent scope thats less than 10" long let alone a really compact scope is near impossible.  Anyone else wish someone would start selling high quality compacts?

Leupold sells quality scopes less than ten inches long.  Only took me five minutes to find them.  So was hardly impossible.

Sightron, Burris, Nikon and Bushnell make some nice little ones just under 10" as well. They are around you just have to look a bit since most stores just want to stock the big ones.

I have a cheap Russian scope on a pellet rifle, seems OK. Get a copy of Shotgun News, lots of optics.

Weaver shotgun scope is made in Japan.  Is 9-1/2" inches long. 4x fully multicoated.

Second that on the weaver classic 4x which is really a rifle scope sold as a shotgun scope.  The parallax is set at 100yds.
