So is the hotshot on a G2 frame, or an all new frame entirely? Anybody know?

The reenforcement slabs on the sides of the receiver in the photos lead me to think it is an Encore frame.

In the comparison shot, which is supposed to be to scale, the frame itself looks smaller. And my G2 has the reinforcement slabs on the side.

I was just hopeful for a new source of 21" barrels with iron sights. Somebody here has a landfill full of them  :D
