Knight is really not "out of business", just the rifle manufacturing business at the moment. They are still honoring warranties, servicing rifles, and selling parts and accessories.
If you like the rod, I sure wouldn't let that stop me from buying it. If Knight put their name on it, I am sure it is of top quality manufacture.
