First Range Session With My New CZ82.

Well, not too bad for only $202 shipped. Target was 25 feet using Prvi Partizan 93 grain ammo.

You can't beat the value nor the CZ pistols in quality.  The CZ82's are awesome too.  What a great buy these are.  Its my new carry pistol.

You can find the CZ82's at www.aimsurplus.com and at www.centerfiresystems.com and century arms still has them listed in different grades too but i'm not sure if there still in stock.  You can buy the lesser grade for a new CCW pistol or even strip it and repaint it.  These are painted pistols not blued so they can be done with an epoxy paint from Brownells too.  I like the two 12rd mags + one in the pipe gives us 13rds to start off with. I thought the 9mm mak round would have way less bark/bite over the 9mm luger round but they seem pretty equal in power.  Plus i like the double action on the first shot there's no need to carry it cocked n locked. For a quality pistol in 9mm the cz line is hard to beat.  Once you shoot the CZ82 you may go looking at the CZ75/CZ85DB pistols too next.  If i was looking for one of these i'd checkout the used pistol case first.  Some i have seen were still unshot at a used pistol price.

Got mine from Century as they had the lowest price for one and included a holster and two mags.

Aim Surplus and Centerfire systems were offering the CZ82's with the holster, the cleaning rod and the lanyard. The first batch of these from Aim were in very good condition with minor wear for $189.  The second batch was in excellent condition with no visible wear for $199.  Now there over $200 but still a great buy.

Like i said above some are buying them in the worst condition and stripping them and painting them. Then they add a custom grip set and they look awesome.

I don't know, I bought the cheapest one from Century. I was kind of surprised what good shape it came in. I don't need to do anything to it................................................except feed it!

I'm with you there in there orginal form and they shoot great.  I did put the rubber houge grips on my CZ85DB.

They had a couple with new barrels for like 30-40 bucks more. From the target I showed, I'm glad I resisted that.

Hmmm, only recovered 70 pieces of the brass out of the two boxes of fifty. So I converted 130 9mm cases to 9X18. Wasn't too hard.

It was for that very reason I put together a brass catcher of sorts.  Take some small dia. PVC pipe and window screening, cut two pieces of the PVC to the depth of the platform you're shooting off of, two more pieces maybe 8" for a short leg/base and two more pieces for the uprights.  Six elbows, glue it together, put the screening on using wood screws and you're done.  I made up a handfull of them for the club for very little money.  Since this is an outdoor range, I filled the leg/base with shot to give it some weight.  Otherwise it'll blow over in a breeze.
Both the 52 & 82 will throw brass 20-25 feet on a diagonal, kinda makes it hard to find the brass.

Bought one last week from Aim Surplus, $219+$10 for pick of five= $244 with tax.  Very nice condition. Tried it at our club tonite and by the 3rd mag of Silver Bear I had all 12 shots in the 3" stick on target at 7yds. Not bad. Needs POA to cover the stick on though, reminds me of my P38 in 9mm in that respect.

Were near the last batches of the CZ82 from what i'm reading.  So if you want one of these awesome czech military pistols you better get one quick.  I'm sure the prices will hit close to $400 when they dry up.

Read the add carefully too some are only offering "1" mag while others are still offering "2" 12rd mags at the same price.
