The new VISTA is more compact than current ZRS. The length is about 1 inch shorter than ZRS.  It does not have Mg Alloy chasis as ZRS.  The field of view is wider with new VISTA.  This upgrade will make VISTA more competitive in the sub $300 market segment.

Thanks!

So...can I assume the ZRS is a higher end binocular???  Or...why would one buy one over the other???

Doug,

Yes, ZRS is indeed a higher end product than VISTA. It uses more advanced lens coating to allow 99.5% light transmission per surface. More sophiscated optical design (more glasses) to get better edge to edge sharpness. But it is also few ounces heavier and more expensive. So users can have options which one works best for them.

Thanks
