Manlicher stock
« on: January 24, 2010, 08:20:35 AM »
I'm in the process of a deal for a 45-70 with a manlicher stock. Are there any quirks I need to know about with the manlicher stock?

Mine didn't shoot good with the barrel band installed, mine was hitting hard on one side, but a little sanding solved that, then I added an O-ring to the stud and a fridge magnet for a pressure point near the tip.

Thanks quick, Figure I'll shoot it first and see how it does. I don't see a barrel band on this one in the pics. Are you talking about the thin flexible type of fridge magnet?

My .30-30 shoots minute of prairie dog to 150 yards with iron sights. Must not have very many quirks.

Graybeard I wish my eyes were as good as yours I just took the leap into Bi-focals. I haven't shot open sights in well over a decade
