Sometimes the hunting buddies that make the hunt not the game you're hunting.

Dang it Stewart, you didn't tell me about these "Guides"...you crafty old dog you!  Are they coming to hunt my place too and are these the ones from the bar and the topless fishing trip?  You do get into some "predicaments" don't you...

I wonder what that hog cost by the pound? That's a pretty fancy guide rig, and the furnishings are top drawer, so I figure that hog wasn't cheap. But 25 years ago worth every dime. ;D

It was a hunt on a private lease, over 100,000 acre lease. I was invited it was not a paid hunt, no guides per say. They hunt it pretty much every weekend they can. These guys are rock stars and have all the toys. Some of the best people you will ever meet. I couldn't figure out the price per hog, but to give you an idea, I lost count after shooting over 15 hogs my self. I shot 'em with Win. M7 30-06, Marlin 1895G 45-70, Marlin 336 .35 Rem, and my Kimber 1911, and they all dropped several hogs each. It was a hunt of a lifetime.

I knew somebody there had some cash. That would make a great coyote rig. If I had been on board in that hunt, my wife woulda been posing in the pic holdin my head up by the ears, but she wouldn't have been smilin she woulda be snarlin. Then she'da had my head mounted. But that woulda been 25 years ago.
