I don't know why but that thing gives me the creeps.  :-\

I see it as having great potential as a search and rescue device in hazardous areas where it would be unsafe to send in live searchers tho.

Sounds like it's power source is a two stroke engine so the EPA will probably outlaw it if they haven't already.

I think that insect like "weed whip" engine sound and the fact that it sort of looks like a huge bug is what gives me the creeps.   It think that I would rather have the "Terminator" after my hide than have that thing after me.   Could you imagine an infantry battalion of those things armed with Gatling guns.  With a payload of 350lbs it could carry a lot of .223.  :o

This is just the beginning, a prototype.  There is a lot more stuff like that coming.  Wait till technology is able to get that power and control unit on top down to one quarter the size.  Put a saddle on it and ride it to the supermarket.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

I think the first application should be as a mule for packing out moose and elk carcasses. What say you?

Amazing, transitions from two point locomotion to three point locomotion as the terrain requires and quick enough not to fall as some 4 legged critters might. And can do it in either dirrection. eddie
