Finally found a survivor model
« on: January 24, 2010, 03:03:00 PM »
After alot of local searching I finally was able to track down a Survivor in 410/.45 Colt.  Looking forward to having some fun with it!  Its my 3rd H&R and I think im becoming addicted  ;D

Anyway...I had a few questions for other owners, as the manual doesn't explain much of anything particular to this model.

I assume the choke tube is for firing birdshot?  And I would of course remove the choke for firing .45 Colt?

What about 410 slugs and buckshot?  Can I use them in this gun?  And would I have the choke tube removed for this?

Also, I have a synthetic choate handi-rifle buttstock lying around that I was thinking of putting on in place of the survivor stock.  Would this be a direct swap or do they use different size bolts or anything like that?

Thanks for the help!
