In effect, they are saying that their old pizza was horrible and the new one is better. I tried one once years ago. Any supermarket frozen pizza was better and cheaper too.

My B-I-L sold his Domino's Franchise about a year ago. He had been with the company since about 1979 or 1980.
When Tom Monahan owned the company way back then the product was much better. He got out of the company
some time ago and the product went down the tubes. Too much of a focus on secondary products helped lead to a demise
in the quality of the primary product.

Of course, we got a great family discount so the price to quality ratio was right for our family.
Would never have bought it at full price.

I've not tried their "new pizza" and won't be doing so. BUT I do agree their old one was HORRIBLE. It was quite enough to convince me I don't want anything else from them.

From what's available around here I'll stick with Pizza Hut.

PIZZA HUT! Must be a lot different there than here. Buy a cheap cardboard job from the store and add a quart of 10w40 and you got the same thing. I'll make my own thanks.

I can respect Domino's attempts to improve their product more than I respected GM's similar attempt.

The difference as I see it is that GM was insulting a vehicle that people were still using daily. They insulted their exisitng customer base. Erik Buell did something similar with his vengeful destruction of his best selling and longest running bike -the "Blast!" He bought inside cover ad space and showed a Blast! crushed into a cube.

This, and GM's Malibu ads says to me:
"Ha ha, joke's on you!! You bought our lousy crap! Now you should buy our NEW crap!"

Domino's is saying (to me), "We've had testers evaluate our product, and they didn't like what they tasted. We want to fix that."

But, what do I know, I own a Geo, a Pontiac and a Buell.

I'm planning to order Domino's this weekend. It's tough to beat a money back guarantee!!

I've ried the Dominoes ham and pinapple, also the Philly Cheese Steak pizza, both were good. Expensive though. eddie

I havent' found a pizza chain that makes pizza any better than Wal Mart's take and bake pizzas. I get the pound of meat pizza and add our own green peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Don't get much better than that. It is a 16 in pizza and cost less than 10 bucks adding the veggies.

It bodes ill for Dominoes when Walmart sells a better pizza for under $10. I'm amazed at the amount of supermarket freezer space dedicated to pizza today. At my local supermarket fully one fourth of the freezer space is pizza of different kinds.

It's been a while since I've tried Dominos. Their previous stuff just had no place in my world.

If I wanted cheap pizza, I'd go Little Caesar's. $5 each for large pepperoni.
If I wanted cheap-ish good pizza, Papa John's was good.
Pizza Hut - I don't like this as much as Papa John's, but the taste is different enough that I can see how some people WOULD prefer it.
If I wanted a really, really nice pizza without much care to the cost I'd go with one of the local non-chain places (Momo's in my case).

They weren't the cheapest, nor were they the best. I'll probably give them a try due to their new ad campaign (heck, I'll admit to being curious), but they're only getting one chance

Pizza Hut makes me and my wife so sick that she won't go there anymore. I don't there's any good chain pizza left. Pappa John's doesn't make us sick.

First, one trip to NEW YORK CITY will ruin your ability to eat anything from the chains.

Second, we tried it, and it has improved from virtually inedible to OK.

Third, HEATHER is right. But, the really super best pizza is what you can make yourself.

Did you know that Sams sells at their snack bar commercial frozen pizza dough balls CHEAP (about 70c per large pizza dough ball, by the case)? All you have to do is take one out of the freezer in the morning, and when you get home from work, you have delicious, self rising, homemade tasting pizza dough ready to toss and bake?

It's still nasty..I gave it another try and you still pay the same price for a pizza that is about 1/3 th size of the others and it's still crap. The crust is still cardboard, they just added more grease. Dominoes is the only pizza joint in my town that charges a delivery fee. No Thanks, Pizza Hutt or Papa Johns for me.

I'm a PaPa Murphy's take n' bake fan myself. I also sometimes get the Friday Special Large 2 topping Pizza at Safeway Grocery for $5.00, another take n' bake. Both are pretty darn good, and definitely better than
d'mos.

Not bad pizza.
2 large with your choice of 1 topping and a med box of cinnamon rolls for $14.99.

PaPa Johns isn't to bad either.

Used to be a chain called LITTLE CAESARS, they were really good!

Don't care for Pizza Hut.

We used to get those pizza's from Sam's ( I think they are the same as the Wally World kind) and fix 'em up ourselves. Pretty good stuff. Domino's was never really edible unless it was 3 AM and there was beer involved. But back to the truth in advertising...

Dominoes - We used to SUCK but we're better now...
Waffle House - White trash heaven but HEY... We're open ALL NIGHT!
Duncan Donuts - Overpriced and will make you grossly fat... but you know you want one!
White Castle - We're not sure how we stay in business!

I've often wondered that about White Castle myself. Apparently they have a following though. I've seen White Castles stay in business when nearby Burger Kings and Hardees failed.

If where you guys live is anything like around where I live, there certainly isn't any lack of choice when it comes to pizza. The same goes for chinese and mexican food. Anyway, there is one thing that I find disgusting about far too many pizza joints. If you order a pizza to go, they put the pizza in the box, right on the cardboard with no waxed paper. If you guys could see how cardboard is made these days, you wouldn't want your dog to eat off of it.

A lot, if not most cardboard is made from recycled stock. Recycling cardboard is a pretty complicated process and the stock does go through some cleaning, but I don't care how much cleaning is done, it's like washing a turd.

Insist that they put waxed paper under your pizza.

Our house as a couple of features that may be lacking in most homes: an oven, a refrigerator, and a freezer. It's amazing what you can do with these things.

We've got a microwave, which I refer to as the emergency thawing and tea water boiling device. I can't think of any other uses for it that work well.

I'm only 25 and I flat REFUSE to use a microwave for anything.

Watched some videos and did some research a few years back and by the time you microwave say a can of can there is ZERO nutritional value left. I'll eat my food with its nutrients in tack minus the radiation thank you.

Our microwave was broken for over a year and my mister fix it decided to fix it just to see if he could. He warms up hot dogs or pops a bag of popcorn for the kids every once in a while, but it has been working for over six months now and I haven't touched it except to clean it.

You're right. There are probably a few uses for it. I forgot about the stale bread thing. I do use that feature. I use it to re-heat some kinds of leftovers. It is handy. 90% of our use for it is for heating tea water. My kids use it to heat things that explode into a horrendous mess and spatter all over the insides of the microwave. Maybe it keeps them out of other kinds of trouble.

My nephew microwaved some metal things related to his dental braces. It started a fire. It was an accident.

We just replaced our microwave within the past few months. The old one dated from around 1980 and the pictures that came with the user manual were funny because they implied you could cook all kinds of wonderful things in it, like rack of lamb, cakes, etc. This was just a regular microwave, not any kind of convection or browning oven. I can imagine the reactions of the people who actually wasted good cuts of meat by trying to cook them in a microwave.

Last week I got adventurous and tried to cook regular non-instant oatmeal in the microwave. Yechh. I'll stick with the stove top method for that.

There are special dishes that I want to investigate for steaming vegetables and rice. That could be a good application for it. Our new microwave referred to this kind of accessory, I just haven't gotten up the courage to enter a department store that might sell them. If it works, it'll be a good thing.

For steaming, I've found nothing better than a small rice cooker. You can get them as low as $15, with even the better ones still coming in under $50. Many have steaming trays and work GREAT (cook good rice too). In particular, the local Asian market nearby sells these frozen chicken & cabbage dumplings that I really like. Take 5-6 of those, toss em in the steamer and let it run 20-30 minutes. They're delicious, and very, very healthy and low in calories

Interesting! For that kind of steaming we have a 1500 watt Kitchenaid stainless electric wok that we've had for over 20 years. Sadly they don't make that model anymore, but there are some others that are 1500 watt. The high wattage is needed to get up to temp quickly. It's also important not to get a teflon-like surface, just bare metal.
