.204Ruger 4 a 7mm Rem Mag (traded)
« on: January 26, 2010, 07:19:41 AM »
Well I finally got rid of my blue .204 Ruger Encore barrel. I traded a guy for his SS 7mm RM Encore bbl.
I basically had my fun wacking long range gophers with it and lost one too many coyotes with it also. Besided I have too much fun using my .22 Henry lever on gophers and my .270 will drop any yote faithfully. I think I made a good trade so thats all that matters. The other barrels I have for my Encore are; 209x50, .308 Sporter, .270 Fluted PH and now a SS 7mm RM.
I think I'm set for any cloven hooved or pawed creature in North America, don't you  ;)

Overkill??  I have had one yote run perhaps 20yds after a 32gr .204 v-max, the rest just drop and don't move.  Oh well to each his own--hope you don't save the pelts.

I`m not using the 7mm for yotes, i`m just saying that I traded a 204 for a 7mm.
I lost a few dogs but it could be because our yotes up here in Canada have thicker fur coats lol  ;D
