I'm not buying it's all from a flawed gas pedal, i'm thinking Toyota is/was trying to cover up a bigger problem.
Some of the car's that crashed didn't even have a floor mat in them, so it can't be a "gas pedal/floor mat" problem. How many months did Toyota SWEAR it was floor matts that cause the problem, EVEN when folks were crashing WITHOUT floor mats in there cars?? Like i said above, i'm GUESSING what the problem is, just like everyone else in this forum.
One report claimed that moisture is building up in an electrical circuit, causeing an electrical failure... So, there you have it. Another car company NOT doing anything until many folks die, and they are forced to do something about it.
This isn't a "new" problem, "if" the news media had not been on their backs for so long, they would have continued to sweep this problem under the rug, JUST LIKE the other car companys do.
