Tell your mom that what you do in the out of doors is making a man of you and shouldn't be used as punishment. If she needs to get your attention she should restrict TV or computer time.

Very little time in front of the screen? You're a good man  Trapper, your mom sure knows how to put the bite on.  Maybe best to quit flunking tests.

OK Maine....this is a father speak'n....do your school work first.  That's important...hunting, fishing and trapping will come...education is forever.  Listen to your Mom and be thankful you have one cause theres going to be a time when you don't.  If you're smart enough to trap, you're smart enough to know better.  Man up and do what you're supposed to.....

A quality education and a good job will give you far more opportunities for outdoor recreation over the course of your life than you can gain now by neglecting work.  I know it's hard to hear at your age, but keep working at school, it's more important in the long run.
