Why no .45 colt barrel
« on: January 28, 2010, 03:15:36 PM »
They still offer the BC in .45 colt, so why do they no longer offer the .45 colt in the barrel program?

Out of stock, no longer made, take your pick, who knows what they're doing.  ::)

Would it be too provocative to make that my signature? LOL.

My paranoid theory is that they have not made .45LC barrels since 2007, that they have guns to sell, and when those are done, you can watch that gun become a special order item.

Glad I got mine.  Kinda a rough deal for those of us who may want to ream to 454 or 460 and still have the 45 LC.  It would be a shame to have to buy another whole gun.  They seem to be in short supply on the used market too.

What is nice about the .460 and .454 is that they are production cartridges still being chambered in new guns. That said, if you pick up some .445 brass and dies, is there much of a practical difference?

It just seems to me that since there are so many people wanting one, they are losing revenue by not offering them.
