Openly gay in the military

Now that Obama's got some edicts cooking to kill the dont-ask-dont-tell rules in the military and replace it with its-ok-to-be-openly-gay-and-we-will-accommodate-you-and-protect-you rules, what do military people think of this? Does it really challenge unit cohesiveness and esprit de corps?

When I was in my teens and early 20s, gays, known then as "fudge packing queers" and "limp wristed pansies" or simply "fags", were targets for abuse by strong young men. Have things changed? I remember many a time guys would go out with the express objective of "beating up some faggots". And my Cuban friends recalled the days when guys found out where the homosexuals hung out so they could beat up the homosexuals there. This was considered perfectly acceptable by both genders at the time, and families approved of it too. To be homosexual at that time was a real burden.

I live close to FT Knox. By  changing the rules he will be giving approval and condoning the acts of these perverts. Homosexuals are abominations in Gods eyes. Ft Knox has a paper called the Turrett. I've seen letters in there from soldiers who are shocked and offended by these perverts holding hands and kissing in public. Theres a place on base where they used to be able to take their families but no longer do because of these perverts, they don't want their childrens lives perverted by these deviates. One soldier said his young daughter asked why those 2 men were dancing and kissing, that was their last trip to that club. POWDERMAN.

Are there any young , non gay liberals in the military? Seems to me conservatives are the only young men and women who care enough about their country to volunteer. Will they continue to volunteer if the military is filled with disgusting people. I wouldn't.

all they gotta do is soften up the military with pc, then bring back the draft, liberal indoctrinization after 12 years of school should just about kill off the good in society.  and if they don't go to the military then they'll go to college and go around chugging beer and being queer/perv/whatever


remember that too, while lots of guys hate "queers" they don't seem to mind two girls going at it anymore, or slutting around.  it's really not that much less disgusting than being homosexual.  same for people who are "straight" getting on an altar in front of two families and preaching love and commitment and then breaking the oath for sex.  perversion in general is getting out of hand- I bet my kids or grandkids will end up being too limp wristed to ever learn to shoot with the pace things are going (I don't have kids yet so they'd be 20 in maybe 2033? look how bad it's got since the sixties, it's not a slide but an avalanche)

  when i was in the service, some guys would go to the seedier parts of town and play a game called "brick the fag".  one of the guys had a convertable, and they would cruise the areas the queers would frequent.   once one was found, one guy would chat them up as they rolled up on them.  once they had him in the "kill zone" then the guy in back seat would produce the brick, so the queer could see it.  then, as the queer (wearing high heels) would try to outrun the 5.0 mustang, the driver would accelerate and the guy with the brick would "brick the fag".

i wish it was still like that. i'm really getting tired of the gays flaunting it in public, i'm not a big fan of "public display of affection" especially when its a couple of homos. most straight couples don't do any more than hold hands in public. but it's like the gays wanna just shove it in your face because they know you can't do anything about it.

To the OP ... pay attention to how the chaplain endorsing agencies respond. We're on loan to the DOD by our respective churches, and we can be pulled at any time. I know my heart is going to get broken again by my country.

as with ANYTHING liberal, it only hurts people if they're allowed to integrate.  a kid with multiple schlerosis isn't gonna get picked on at baseball practice for not batting if he's not on the team, an ugly girl isn't gonna cry her eyes out when people laugh her off stage if she's not in the pageant, and a gay service member won't feel ashamed/harassed/held down or whatever if not allowed to join IN THE FIRST PLACE!

I don't applaud "bricking" but then again if I saw people cross-dressing and making out dressed like that... I don't necessarily feel upset to hear it happened either.  Straight people going at it in public get burnt, why can't homosexuals?  Same for the dress code alone, ever see straight women going around flashing that much skin up and down the street or having sexual parades?  NOPE, only in strip clubs and maybe an occasional flash at mardi gras.  Palm Springs California, you cannot go out after dark without seeing crowds of almost naked- fishnet shirts, short skirts, making out, see through plastic shirts, spandex or "spanx" clothing, lingerie and leather bondage gear... on MEN! 

When it's in private, no one can say anything since it cannot be seen, so why even go out into the street?!  What kids see on television nowadays TEACHES THEM THAT IT'S OKAY! and that needs to be faught, even if it gets a few of us in a bit of trouble.  Let's keep the violence talk out of this but really, are we wrong to condemn the ACCEPTANCE AND FORCED INTEGRATION of homosexuality/carnal nastiness in our institutions?  NO!

This garbage is being taught as just another lifestyle in some schools all over the world. It's in our schools, all over the tv and news papers being taught as normal behaviour, it's not. The dumcraps support this garbage, always have. Now osama is further promoting these perverts. Sorry to say it but there are even places these perverts call a church, but they aren't Gods churches. I'm sure satan smiles every time they speak out. Theres a lezzie in Lou with such a place, calls herself reverand and has a bunch of cultists. She claimed several years ago that she had married over 500 couples. Got news for them, they aint married in Gods eyes. I wonder how many souls she's led to hell??? I don't agree with this lifestyle in any way, shape, or form.
I don't really know what the answer is.
I hate the sin, not the sinner.
After that I have to leave it in God's hands.
I feel we should make sure that those who represent us in congress know how we feel.

I will request that we keep this topic on the subject of gays in the military.
Please refrain from discussing any personal justice that may have or is being dealt out to this group of people.
If it turns into a how to destroy/physically hurt gays it will be closed, I don't think this forum is here to be a hate tool.
