My current stance on the party is to give no money or support to the party until they force a change to the national debate on many of today's hot policy topics. Currently the party is dead.

I will, however, give to individual republican candidates.

This is progress because six months ago I wouldn't have given them a gosh darned cracker crookin' feedbag for a hearse horse.

Right now there are no republicans or democrats in a National office that will get a dime from me. I still think the message has to be sent that we expect much better from our representatives. That means ALL the current lot have to go.

I will not give one cent to any serving congressman or senator. I will not contribute to any Republican or Democrat who is running for the US congress.

do what ever it takes to defeat the democrats

even if it means supporting the lessor of 2 evils

then we can focus on defeating the republicans

republicans. right now. are our ONLY hope

we need to join with them until the democrats are no longer a threat

who knows if enough of us get involved in the republican party at the local level

we would not even know the likes of john mccain other than he was a war hero

Let them know you are ultra conservative and they better not think that sounds bad, they better not think conservative is a bad word, they better not think there is a such thing as "modeate"...or "center"...there is only one kind of conservatism, nothing in between, no reaching across the isle and meeting anyone half way on a damn thing no matter what. Let them know you are wondering why they don't get on the air and say it like it is, ask them if they have any public relation people at all and where are they? Ask them why they don't read the legislation out loud on national TV and list all the crap that is in there, including theirs. Ask them why they are embarrassed by people like Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck, ask them why they don't agree with people who just blurts out what it really is. Ask them if they have a spine at all, or are they trying to be "liked" by more people. Ask them why they think they need a "bigger tent". Does that mean they need people's votes who are not ultra conservative? Does that mean they have something for everyone?

I doubt they could handle a true conservative agenda with no exceptions to the rule. When they can...I'll pay attention, because that is what I am looking for now.

call your local tea party or patriot party and join them. You will have an opertunity to question all the canidates in your local elections and have a say in who you will represent.

I'm more concerned about how to destroy the Dumbycrat Party than I am about the Republicans. A man's got to have priorities; don't worry so much about that that irritates you and try to eliminate that which threatens your existence.

a man must be able to see the most pressing danger and take care of that threat first.

the third party...welll lets see just how good the tea party boys are at coming together to face the enemy of us all. i just do not have the faith that they can merge all the different factions within it to become a viable party. i hope they do but i just see to much difference from one end to the other. if they could do it they would oust everyone in office. the people are sickened and mad as heck at all who hold office regardless of their party.

yet you and i both know that the democrats are the real and biggest threat to us all.

We did...we voted republicans all the way out of office in 2006.

I would imagine if they regain power and act the same way we would do that again. What you wind up with is two parties sharing the power from time to time both of which squander our tax money and do unconstitutional things. In the end, you have what you have right now.
I am not looking for middle of the road, center of the road, or anything in between, I'm looking for hard core way to the right conservatism that follows the constitution as it was written no matter who's feelings it hurts. I bet you I'm not alone. Which is why republicans got voted out. Dems did not vote them out, dems vote for dems. People like me voted them out, must be a lot of us eh? So if you are a republican, or attatched to them somehow, you best let them know they don't stand a chance unless grow a backbone and start blurting out some politically INcorrect things people don't like to hear, they best stand tall for us...or we will make sure they don't keep their power very long. What you have now is what you'll keep forever.

I am doing my best to vote our republican representive for our state out now....he is a fake conservative.

Thats exactly right 45-70! and you third party guys are just what obama hopes happens in 2012.
Heck if you are gonna vote third or fourth party, just vote for obama, or better yet do like Red, and dont vote.

I dont think the republicans are the good guys, they just dont try to take over automobile companys and banks, They also dont try to get government run medical care! They also dont think gun control is a good thing. I'm for conservative values but you that want a perfect candidate are dreaming. right of center is about the best you are gonna get cause the far right cant get anyone elected no more than the far left.(at least not before 08) Not my opinion its a fact. I'll say it again because there are those that repeat their dogma like its a broken record. IF your candidate doesn't have a competative poll number the day before the election you may as well vote for obama, than vote for a third party that has no prayer.

I can almost hear Reagan saying he didn't leave the Republican Party the Republican Party left him. I'm sick to death of holding my nose and voting for the better of two evils and I'll never do it again. Any Conservative worth his salt will see these pretenders to be nothing more than traitors to the people that put them in office. On the whole the entire Senate and Congress needs to be wiped clean and started anew. I think you can guess my opinion of Obama. I can't even bring myself to call him President. Who would have ever thought things could go so wrong? We really need a Conservative Party that doesn't shrink away from their views in fear of bad press.

Apparently Oldshooter, you missed the first bailout when "Republican" George W. Bush bailed out the car companies single handedly, against EVERY BODY'S wishes. And it is a well publicized FACT, that the independent put the Massachusetts RINO in office, that all the Republicans are so happy about, and he has already told the head Republican not to count on his vote all the time. whoaaaa..

if you will read any comments i made on a third party or ..... the lessor of the two evils you will see that i will vote for the lessor of the two evils if there are no other viable candidates. to not vote is just plain stupid. that also means if it is apparent that the 3rd party (if there is one) has no chance to win i will vote for the lessor of the two.

now if a third party candidate has a real viable chance to win and he is not a nut job he will get my vote. just to get the others out. yet i will never vote for some crazy loon just to show the others.

this next election a third party will have the best chance of success it has ever had. that said... it is highly unlikley a third party can win even with the mood of the nation so anti Republican and Democrat. People are sick of both yet the reality is they will probably just make it possible for one or the other to win by drawing off votes.

You and i want something almost anything different from the same old same old. lets take the tea party boys...they are very fractured in their opinions and have yet to show us a candidate. if and thats a big if they can come together it will be a miracle in my opinion. Sarah Palin suggested they should merge into the Republican Party...ooooohh.

so any statements by anyone that somehow if faced with only two choices one should not vote or if offered even three one should take the new third party just because it is not Democrat or Republican is pure nonsense. if the candidate has nothing to offer other than being different and is out of touch with reality of the world we live in he will never get my vote.

i have done a lot of things in my life but i am not responsible for obama getting elected thats for sure. I voted McCain and would do it again if faced with the choices i had last time.

so first one of those so called constitutionalist candidates has to get on the ballot and believe me i doubt one will.

Lets just hope that when the payroll checks, Retirement checks, Social Security checks and whatever income stops coming to the banks or the mail box, the lesser voters can fight better than they can elect.

nw_hunter don't misunderstand me here. I don't expect them to change their minds. I'm just putting my two cents in when they do. I fully expect them to continue to vote our rights away. Redtail should know by now that McCain has tried to vote his 2nd Amendment rights away for over 30 years, voted for the bail out, and tried to shut down his 1 Amendment rights to freedom of speech with his McCain-Feingold Act. With all that knowledge and evidence he admits unprompted, and without coercion of any kind that he would vote for this traitor again because he is so scared of Obama.
It is one thing to say you will defend the Constitution, but it is another thing entirely to actually take a stand and actually defend it, when it isn't popular.
If our Constitution and Bill of Rights remain in tact, it will be "in spite of" voters such as Redtail and Oldshooter, whom knowingly vote for enemies of both documents out of fear, and they aren't doing it by themselves.
We are the minority here, that refuse to compromise with the enemy, and see death a better option than enslavement.
