Checkout the TC Hot Shot. Looks like a small frame Encore in 22LR weighing in at 3 lbs. I wonder how over prices it is?

The only one I found on the net was priced $186.99+shipping. Not to bad

I was considering a .22 carbine barrel, but I think that I'll look at one of those.  I love the peep sight.  The stock will be too short, but they may offer a longer stock for dad later.

Does that trigger move backward when cocked?

I'd buy one for that price. I wonder if they will offer 17HMR or 22mag barrels in the future?

I thought I would buy one for me and the boys. I looked at one at the Iowa Deer classic and it looked like something made in china. Look at one before you buy it. I was pretty disapointed!! I really wanted one too.

Well guys, I was at Acadamy Sports in Macon, Ga today, and bought one of these little Hot Shots. As already mentioned, it does not quite have the finish of a Contender or Encore, but thankfully, it does not have the pricetag either.  I thought it is okay for $199 plus tax.  I like the fact it works sooo easy.  It only takes one finger to break it. It locks up with a good snap. Have not put a scale on the trigger yet, but it feels good. They only had brown stocks.  I just had to have one to go with the other TC's I have, and the grandaughters will enjoy it also.  Wallacem

Well I finally got my Hot Shot.  Put on the stock extension and took it to the back 40 for some plinking.  Even with the extension, the stock was  a little short, but it is a shooter.  At 50 yards, using the peep sight, 2" groups were the norm.   The appearance is not up to Contender class, but it is a tight locking, accurate little rifle.  I have no complaints, I got what I paid for and more.  I only hope that TC or another maker will start making a standard length stock for this great lil gun.  Only problem then would be I would have to buy another one for the granddaughter to replace this one I bought for her.

I'd like to get the pink one with a stock extension for my wife.

I bought one for my Grandson to teach him how to shoot, its a great rifle for the price.  I wish someone made an adult sized stock, as light as it is they would be a perfect backpacking .22 to carry.

They make spacers to extend the LOP.
