Batf FBI and City Police arrived at my home today they confiscated 1 firearm and pretty well shook me up. they mentioned two times in their questioning of my talking to much and then of my posting things that piss people off!

Get this I was not arrested nor charged but they took my guns and told me that their was nothing i could do about it.

For those that believe as I do I urge you to be very very carefuyl of what you say on this board. Or any board for that matter. its seems that someone was listening and did not like what i have said.

i am even very nervous about this post. i feel you all need to be warned and not doubt that some do not appreciate any dissent. that was made very clear to me today.

i will not post again but to all that i have conversed with i wish you all the best. this simply is one of the best websites on the net for informations concerning firearms. be aware that what we fear is happening.

maybe.... maybe not. I'd not rush to judgement until more is known. Wishful thinking might dictate otherwise but with the way things are nowadays who knows. Why not just wait until you hear more before alllthe rolleyes.

Read the post carefuly In the first part he says they confiscated one gun. Later he says they took my (guns) plural. Also if this came as a problem with what he was posting on here oe other boards I would think they would have taken his computer.

yep, in a perfect world that might be or should be the case. but our world right now ain't perfect. So let's give redtail the benefit of the doubt and watch to see what happens. He said he's done. He went thru whatever happened to him; you didn't. Give the guy a break.

I am not trying to jump on the guy but about the only way you will get busted is by doing something you should have not done. Now there are few (very few) exceptions but I dought that.

Here's a long time member / poster whom has chosen to share with us something most awful (only in our worst nightmares) that allegedly happened to him and you instantly call BS on it, accompanied w/ multiple roll eyes.

I say stand by and watch. Hopefully he will post again but I guess I'll understand if he doesn't.

When I reflect back over the last year or so, at some of the things 3 or 4 members here have said, regarding race, color, and creed, not to mention politics, I find it very difficult to believe that Mr. Redtail whom has been fairly soft pedaled would be picked out.
I'm not saying he didn't get a visit, but I doubt it was anything he said here. He's either chain yankin, or there is more to this story.
We indeed shall see. Or maybe we won't.

A few years ago my cousin in Ill had batf and the fbi waiting on him when he got home from work. They had a search warrant and tore his place apart, made him open his gunsafe. About a month before my cousin had run off a punk that was after his daughter. The punk made up a story about illegal class 3 weapons and called the feds for spite. Nothing was found of course. This may well have happened! I dunno. The only thing we know about anyone that posts here, unless we have met them, is that they have access to a computer and the internet. So who knows. It may also have happened due to something entirely different than posting on a forum.

Redtail's descriptions of the area that I live in(Southeast Texas) led me to believe he was legit, or at least he had been here. But I only know him from what he posts. I have no way of confirming nor denying his authenticity. or the authenticity of this post.

This could be a hoax by someone that accessed his computer, ooooorrrrrrrr by him to see the reaction by "US".

I'm betting stay tuned for more to come.

I get that same vibe. There's a phenomenon I see often with people sharing ghost stories or UFO stories. You get a person that believes in them - very much. They tell others the stories they've heard and try to convince them. Even amongst people who are interested though there will be doubters. Not saying that's what's happened here, but it does happen quite a bit.

In reality, the story doesn't make sense. Honestly - the government doesn't give 2 sh*ts what you say about guns on here. If they decide to come take them then they're on their way. What you said or say on a bulletin board will have no bearing. Not to mention the myriad of hoops they have to jump through to actually access who you are in the real world anyways. First they need an IP address. That require's access to the server's database. Then they have to cross-reference that IP address with an ISP to tie it back to a real person. That typically takes a warrant - and only works about half the time anyways as many ISP's maintain insufficient records to tie it back to a specific customer at a specific time.

All in all, it's not worth their effort to chase down "political dissidents" - not to mention the stink that could be made on 1st ammendment and 2nd ammendment violations. Hell if this really happened to him he could be all over Fox, CNN, and several newspapers by tommorow.

Something is fishy about the whole thing. It's either a complete fabrication, a story passed on naively where the author substitutes themselves as the victim to add realism, or a LOT of details about the situation have been left out.

About the only thing I know of that will get that kind of response from the FBI and local police is make a direct threat to the president.( Which is very stupid) The secret service has guys that fish and search the message boards for threats everyday. We had a kid down here do the same thing on a school computer a couple of years ago. He was carted away for 45 days and his parents' house was searched and the computer/guns were confiscated. I bet he is still paying for it in a lot of other ways.

maybe the ONE gun they took was stolen
i did notice he went from singular to plural
if so why was he not arrested?

why one gun?
was it his only gun
has he got a lawer?
why did he let them in with out a warrent?
why did he talk with out a lawer?

Some people have double lives and or a past that eventually catches up with them.

someone said "what do we really know about folks How true. I had a friend that I grew up with. We hunted & fished for 40 years together but it seams he was not really the person I thought he was. The same thing happens with husbands & wives, they live in the same house & sleep in the same bed and then you find out you never really knew them.

I find it hard to believe that anything anyone has said on GBO would cause what he claims happened to take place. Really how do we know what he may really be involved in. Or it may be a hoax. Or a twisted joke. Wait and see is really our only option at this point.

in my dealings with the batf they have been very professional and courteous
i say that because they didn't catch ah ah i mean find any wrong doing

never dealt with the FBI

i can see the city or a county folks acting that way
but not 3 agencies together
and no arrest

also like dee said
there are many with more radical post than him

No warrant has been served on GBO.

I gonna lock this once I complete this post as I do not wish this speculation to go further. If he wishes to share more with anyone he can. I will not.

All I will say is I got a call from him from out of the blue today. It was the first time to my knowledge I've ever had any direct communication from him. He relayed the story to me in detail. He did share a "supposed reason" based on something from his ancient past. More than that will come from him not me.

I do believe the event occurred as the stress in his voice was palpitable. I think he just needed someone to vent to in the aftermath. Since I know no specifics and have heard only one side I will refrain from commenting further. From his discussion however it was 100% about his legal right to own firearms so cease the speculation about other nasty matters.

He is speculating as to where the comment he made was intercepted. Perhaps it was here perhaps it was not. He was not specifically told where it came from just that he had said something he should not have and today's events came from that at least so far as what he told me.

I will not speculate on the legal matter he finds himself in. I do not know what he will do or can do. I do think his situation is real but as I said know no details just what he told me today which I am not at liberty to share and would not if I were.

No one from any LEO outfit has contacted GBO in the matter and I see no reason why they should.

I believe his reason for making the post is to let all know that what you say and post any and every where on the internet is being monitored for key words and if those key words pop then more close appraisal of the conversation is likely. I don't believe that's a secret to anyone and if it is then I can only ask what rock have you been hiding under. I've told you guys many times in the past that this and all such sites as this are monitored by the government. That's no secret even they will tell you that. Do not assume that you are anonmymous to the government just because you are to the rest of us here. You can and no doubt in the future will be held accountable for the things you say. That applies to internet sites, e-mail and phone conversations. Perhaps even face to face in your home conversations as Ruby Ridge so clearly pointed out.

Now let's end the speculation and if any of you know him and wish to discuss it further that's your business. Only he and the folks who visited him know the facts.
