Some pretty fancy iron on these two pages, both older and fresh from the factory.
Thanks for sharing, Steve

He did that digitally in the picture so his s/n wouldn't be out there for the world to see. Good idea when posting large pictures of your firearms, by the way. I shrink mine so they're blurry or I don't post the serial side.

Hairtrigger: not true, the way the law was worded as having a weapon whos serial number has been removed.  Serial numbers were not required until 1968, many older guns do not evan have them.  If it did and someone removed or obliterates it then it becomes eleagle. You can always contact your friendly BATF agent for a more acurate reading. 8)

Handguns always have had serial numbers. I was speaking of a gun with a S/N... If you have a receipt and a transfer then you should have no worries about posting a pic

Guys there is a rumor I say Rumor as I was not involved
That a man Posted a Picture of a Gun and the serial number was
Reveled someone(crook) acquired a Sale receipt and claimed said
Gun In Picture was His
and the Battle carried on, this was I think
on the Georgia dot net page
From then on I too will not post a serial number on any gun I put up
Even if its for sale
I say Crook and I can be wrong and in fact reverse, the picture was a Hot gun ???

Yes it does cross my mind. I know this is a public forum and anyone with a puter has access. For some reason morso recently... Kinda late to worry now huh?

Gonna have to rely on the alarms, safes, 140# Rottweiler and 12ga and 45 on my hip should some undesirable show up in the dark of nite... :o

Doug, what's to prevent posters from posting guns they don't even own or for that matter serial numbers of guns they have never owned? Internet access is a funny thing, no proof is needed for anything posted. I'm not implying anyone would lie but......

Hi Steve and CW....

....just thinking....I've had folks ask if I was that guy drdougrx from on-line at the gun club or once while at Wild Hill.  Kinda freaky and I just wonder how much I wanna put out there.

Just wondering what other think.

Ya, know the feeling but, sure wish when people register for a forum they'd at least list their age and a general location(nothing specific)?
