giving up winter tent camping

Wife and I are giving up winter tent camping. I am looking into small campers that I can pull with my Jeep Cherokee. I do not like the popups. I am thinking a used Scamp or other molded fiberglass travel traler. It would be used year round for weekend trips and winter hunting trips in Tn. I can get buy with the 13ft models but the wife likes the 16 ft. one she saw. Most of the time it would be the two of us and if we took a grand child or two in the summer we could bring a tent also.

If any one has any experance with one I sure could use some advice on this.

What did you do with your tent and stove?

Yep, that ground is a lot harder and colder than it used to be.  Just be advised that the wife, if she's anything like mine, won't be happy without indoor plumbing for very long.  I'm now pullin' a 25 foot Outback, and I told her that's as big as it's gettin'.  I don't know if that'll hold for long though.

Nessmuk- I am keeping the stove and tent as I loan it out to my son.

The wife is happy with this for now as she will only be using it one full week and maybe two weekends this year. She works full time and has limited time to go.

Yarddog what part of TN? I live in Knoxville area & I can tell you there's a place in Johnson City that swears he wont be beat due to low overhead. I bought a camper from them 6yrs ago they beat a place in Knoxville run by my old football coach from 20yrs ago (good friend I thought) by 1800.00 They sell used & new campers but their customer service was outstanding hands down. If you want feel free to email me I'm not for sure about putting business names on here and I love the site don't want ANY trouble. lol aslate@knoxsheriff.org and as for a bathroom for the misses I bought a small port a pot last year on sale (roll back prices....hint hint) for 26 bucks and the wife loves it no more 2 a.m. trips to the bath house works great no mess no fuss. Thanks for the offer. I got an older 13' Scamp to try this with. So far I have used it twice for hunting and one week end with the wife and 2 grandkids. It has a port a potty. I loved it for hunting hogs on a Fentress county lease. We went to the LBL for a weekend with the kids and I was set up in @ 15 min. insted of an hour and a half with a tent. Wife did say it was better sleeping  than a tent and wormer. I was not slow to point out that I could cook out of the wind and rain (it was not raining at the time) and we had a nice dry fredge not a wet ice chest. I found out a week after we got home that she told 2 of the other grandkids we would be taking them camping in the egg soon. She is somewhat PO'ed as the camper was not close to the top of her want list. She liked it more than she will admit.
