New look for the old girl!
« on: February 03, 2010, 11:25:50 AM »
I'm always looking for something different especially in furniture. Decided to put these on the 22 Hornet. It is a reconfigured pistol grip
laminated pallet wood stock done over by the "Woodmaster Andy" MSP Ret. I think he did a great job. It seem to handle well both in the
field and at the bench with the monte carlo. Also done was a regular comb shotgun stock & a cinnamon lam monte carlo that I have to
refinish. Will post pictures then.   Fred

Lookin' real nice! As much as I like looking at pics of Handis, I have to say you just caused me a bunch of work and a few bucks with those pics. After seeing how nicely you have your bullets arranged in drawers I feel ashamed the way mine are just piled up in boxes on various shelves. I'll have to stop at Home Depot and pick up some of those parts drawers. It will give me something to do this weekend while the snow is flying.

Thanks Fred, the stock looks great with finish on it. I really like the feel and function of the straight Monte Carlo stock. I call it my "Shutzen" style. I have one on a .223 that is my favorite gun for accurate shooting and long range coyote hunting. You did a great job on the final finish. And I agree with Big Blue, I am envious over the nice neat setup you have...I am afreiad though, if my workbench was neat like that I would never be able to find anything  ;)...Congratulations....<><....:)

P.S.  -  thanks Pete....<><....:)

This is the first set of stocks I redid for Fred. These are palletwood laminates. I have now done stocks for Fred in all 3 types of wood used by H&R/NEF, palletwood, palletwood laminate, and true laminated (they just happened to be cinnamon)....<><....:)
