OK I finally got it to open. Takes some big cahones to stick your hand in a hole like that! I'm thinking there is something we aren't seeing that leads up to that. I know he said its still breathing but even a wounded, or especially a wounded pasture poodle will eat you up! No hand to paw combat for me!

A couple years ago I had a freind that picked up a wounded and seemingly "almost" dead coyote. Well he got an education to say the least. And a round of rabies shots until the results came back. It gets brought up once in awhile still.

im just wondering if it wasn t a pet coyote that they knew didn t have any teeth..in other words the fix was on..mabe..
did you notice that coyote seemed to turn back toward them as a very shy pet dog might have done..
well mabe that was my imagination.. seems a wild coyote would have come out of there snarling an biting his attacker for dear life..something don t click true though. slim

that yote was way to tame . We run a squrriel up in a hollow once . Got a boot lace around one leg that was hanging down and pulled it out looked like a weed wacker yo-yo . Had to sling it when it started up the lace.

My buddy that got bitten in my earlier post can also attest that you cannot tame a coyote. He raised a pup and ended up shooting it as it would attack you if startled. I am quite certain this is real as he flung it when it came out.

I'm all for hunting coyotes after seeing how many fawns they've picked off . But there's something wrong with that group.

I would I loved to seen that guy missed and the coyote show them how the other half lived. This is coming from someone who thinks coyote should be open all year round.

I was actually hoping this was a video of the professional coyote hunters that I ran into in Lewiston a couple of years ago. Their weapon of choice was a Mossberg tactical shotgun and their mode of transportation was an MD-500. The "gunner" would be on a tether hanging out the door standing on the skid. They'd chase them down from the air and shoot them from 5-10 yards. When we accused the gunner of being a bit nuts, he related to us what happened on the few occasions that he would miss the shot; the pilot would whack the 'yote in the noggin with the skid. Speaking as a helicopter pilot, that's crazy!
