I was wondering where all these .45LC's were coming from lately and I read this post on MO. Perhaps the Freedom Group companies are doing inventory (tweaking the books before a sale or IPO?) and just tripping over interesting stuff.
So this got me thinking... I bought the 1979 35 Rem Texan last year from a gentleman who purchased it from an Edmonton, Alberta dealer the year prior. I was already aware (through another forum) that this dealer had received a shipment of new-old-stock Marlins... apparently Marlin had been cleaning out a warehouse and found a couple dozen pre-safety rifles that they shipped up to Canada rather than sell in the US (liability over the lack of safety... who knows?) These rifles were a treasure trove for Marlin collectors up north because they included several Texans and other uncommon variants that were in mint condition.
I am sort of hoping that some metric Handis reappear. 7x64? 7.62x39?
Anybody got a clue?
