Ya, I'll take advice, I'm not closed minded or anything, I'll listen to anyone with a sense of Patriotism and conservative views, no matter who they are.
Just give me some suggestions. I like people who are not beholded to any political party, there is not a lot out there for me now. Glen bashes both parties, so do I, so I like that...and yes, he gets paid well. I was listening to him when he was not paid this well too.

Unless people send money the people like Beck have to intertain to get sponsers . Like the NRA you take what you like agree with ad leave the rest . Fact is both do a service even if we don't agree with their operation .

Beck really isn't any different than any other ideologue in the media; the conservatives are enjoying their season in the sun right now, but hang on long enough and the other side will make a comeback. Beck is a conservative yes, and an entertainer. When the tables turn, he'll still be both, just not making as much $.

When slick willie was elected I thought the same for Rush Limbaugh. I was wrong(happens occasionally) he got rich, ratings went through the roof and all. I dont think it matters whats going on politically, Beck and Limbaugh and those like them keep doing well because "we" are out here listening especially when the left is in control.

But OS, is that a bad thing? I guess it could be personally if like me you listen to talk radio on the drive into work so by the time you walk in the door you're already stressed out, and then relax from the day by listening to even more on the drive home so by the time you get home, you're fit to be tied. I'm a relatively young man, but my BP has been climbing since Nov 08. But I say good for Beck if he's stimulating conservative dialogue and making $ while the sun is shining. The next time the tables turn will be a time of darkness, and the Beck's and Hannity's and Miller's et al will be "disappeared."

Yep, my problem as well. Sometimes I gotta turn em all off and listen to CCR, Jimmy Buffet, or the Eagles. The message is generally " Bad ". Its hard not to wanna shoot the messenger!

I mostly get frustrated when there is a big doomsday segment about it all breaking down and Beck is wailing how its all unsustainable and our economy will ultimately crater(all planned by this administration mind you) and then Beck breaks into a food insurance commercial without taking a breath, Hell I'm almosty ready to buy some! NOT

Thats stuff is like a lifetime guarantee on a scuba regulator.........IF the SHTF it wont matter, If youre at 100 ft and it fails that is the end of your life!

Dont I know it! that thought comes from the past about 25 years ago for me, A salesman was trying to sell me a new regulator and it was around 300 dollars. The one I was using was an old tried and true Sherwood. His pitch was that his had a lifetime guarantee! I ASKED him if i could name a beneficary to come get my money back!

I'm so sorry I though you wanted to think for yourself not just follow suit and rubber stamp others . I always try to listen to both sides and let the common sense take over but that ain't PC now is it ? Good luck

I read more than I listen to radio. Lew Rockwell, Patriot Press, and others.

Whoever anyone chooses to listen to, at least man up and think for yourself.

As I stated earlier , I gave up on TV quite awhile ago. However I must confess I have been turning it back on 30 minutes each night just to see where they are with fixing the leak in the gulf.

To answer Billy's question directly (And I don't know if they are still on TV ) I use to watch Hannity and Combs to get both sides perspectives then think for myself and draw my own conclusions. Course I use to also watch Sieskel and Ebert , and George and Gracie Allen. I consider all entertainers.

Oh yeah , Lucy and Desi , and the honeymooners provided two perspectives as well

Beck , Rush , Matthews , Madow , Orielly , lucy Desi , George Gracie , Alice and Ralph - their all the same ... good entertainment not to be taken too seriously.

Billy, I think you can get your opposite viewpoint from most of the 24hr news providers, save FOX. I listen to a fair amount of NPR when the satelite radio is in the other truck and will even tune in the Canadian stations on satelite. The foriegn news broadcasts are certainly from a different tilt, Not sure if it's truer or not but it is from a different perspective generally speaking.

Generally speaking they all seem to mean well and yearn for a Koom Ba Yah world. They try to find justification for using other peoples money to do the good things as well. If your pet charities are not the same as theirs, you my friend are suspect. They are not willing to accept that evil men exist and that they enjoy being evil. I know that I'm preaching to the choir here. Might I suggest Cam & Company on 144 at 20:00 - 23:00.

I guess I'm not looking for veiws that are different than Beck, I think he is a great messenger. I am just wondering where the folks that claim to be the ultimate constitutional conservatives get their information and entertainment. Since when was it not a conservative value to not make a profit?

It's not the issue of Beck making a profit that's in question. It is the question - is he knowingly taking advantage of his Audience by putting his own interest above them by directing his audience to investing in gold coin with a company that marks the coin up almost triple what it's actually worth. If he had his audience best interest at heart he should direct them to gold purchases with companies, banks, EFT's, that take a much smaller cut (like 1 tenth of a percent).

Beck is no worse or no better than others. He is an entertainer looking out for number 1.
As far as a great messaenger , I guess if you like weeping and drama , He kinda reminds me of televangelists.

I don't think that Beck, picks his advertisers. They pick him. You won't hear many ads for afro hair gel on a country western station. Their product fits his comentary. The bad part of Beck is, I think he's right. This country is heading down the tubes, and I don't think it can be stopped. Hope I'm wrong. gypsyman

I tried to watch Beck but he was to emotional. After the first few times of seeing him break down and cry over something he felt passionate about I lost interest. I like Mark Levin, a radio host. He has a live feed and playback online.

Billy its his guide to taking over , it involves leting youth enjoy all the sex they want , keeping groups fighting each other , destory the economy , take away guns , strt a new police force to oppose existing police and military in case they fail to want to make the change , destory the church , take over other political parties ..... Its an interesting read .
