9x57 Rimmed in NEF?

Saw this 9x57 mm Rimmed on Old Western Scrounger.  It's .444 Marlin brass necked down. 

Is this a feasible round for conversion with the NEF Handi-Rifle?

With a rebore and rechamber, why not?  Thoughts of a 38-444 have crossed my mind several times, but first I have to play with it as a 38-55 until I get bored with that.  Might never happen but it may.  DP

You might do well to consider the 358 JDJ.  You don't need the expensive JDJ dies either.  Just use 358 Winchester dies to neck down the 444 brass & you are good to go. You will have the added advantage of being able to use .358 pistol bullets to plink with.

another option would be to ream a 357 barrel to your 9X57R and use 358 bullets .A 358X444 is another option with close to 30-06 case capacity.If you are interested in the 358X444 pm me for a gunsmith"s site. He is also on the censored list  ::)

Talking to a guy the rechambered his 357 to 356 Win, he has excellent results with 220 gr speer loads. If i cant get the velocity I want from my max barrel I will rechamber to 356 Win. A SB2 receiver will be necessary to handle the extra pressure though

I like the idea of that .358JDJ and the 444 rimmed brass. But wont the short Handi barrel be a very limiting factor in achieving the type of velocities and performance this cartridge should be capable of? I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the re-chamber to .357Max provides a cartridge capacity that pretty well matches the 22" barrel length.
I still like the cartridge idea though....very sexy looking (gee, Im gettin' old).

Please explain what the censoring is all about?  I was just trying to help forum members with other viable options that are available & to increase their knowledge.  I belong to several other gun forums and have not experienced this.
