357 Black hawk
« on: February 07, 2010, 02:07:31 PM »
I have an old model Black Hawk in .357, that I am thinking about selling. It's unalterd 4 5/8 inch barrel. I have had it since the early 80s.I bought it from my step-dad, who didn't shoot much. I have never even bought ammo for it. It is used but barely. If I decide to sell, what kind of price should I ask? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the site--
Based on what you've given, I'd say $400-450.  Lotsa variables, such as holster wear, 9mm cylinder, low serial number, et al.  The 4-5/8 is one of my favorite 357 BHs--been known to shell out 5 bills for one over lunch...
WARNING:  you'll probably regret letting it go

Thanks for the reply. He bought it new in 72 or 73 , I believe. It isn't the convertible, so no 9mm cylinder. As for wear there is none. It has sat in the safe most of it's life. This round never excited me. I have a 45lc/ acp that I prefer to use.
