Trapper parts?- actually TOPPER
« on: February 07, 2010, 11:59:17 PM »
I'm not quite sure about Trapper model shotguns, what I need to know is if internal parts are compatable with Parder SB-2's?   I have the opportunity to buy all small parts for 15 bucks, if they will work in my shotguns.

If the Trapper was made mid '80s or later, more than likely they'll work fine, earlier some parts may or may not, anything made '87 and later will fit, '86 and earlier H&Rs were made by a different company than the currrent H&R1871, there's a build year list by serial number prefix in the FAQs sticky. Are you sure it's a Trapper and not a Topper?

I'm not sure what model that is, I've never heard of a trapper model. Post a pic if you can.

I'm not sure what it is, guy on another site has all the internals, hammer, firing pin, etc for 15 bucks.  Guess for that price, I'll take a chance.  Bet if they don't fit mine someone here will give me my money back.  Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Well, I was misinformed, he parts are TOPPER, not Trapper.  Still have no idea what they will or won't fit but I have 'em anyhow, they came in today.  I literally got all parts but furniture, receiver and barrel.
