I see henry has a 22 mag lever, it has my interest.  I have never fired a henry.  What can you tell me on them.  Trigger pull?  Accuracy?  Problems?

Smooth like butter.  Probably the best out of the box trigger pull. Accuracy is OK. In terms of quality, pot metal and plastic in the guts. Super warranty.

IMHO (and many/many other's), the rimfire Henry is the pick of the litter in .22 RF leverguns - and a bargain to boot, at half the cost of it's competition.

They are not target rifles by any means, being hunters/plinkers - but their triggers & accuracy is VERY acceptable for those uses.

They are also fairly easy to add a peep sight to, mounting a clip-on peep in the scope mount grooves.

Octagonal barrels are standard on the H001TM Frontier magnum model - which coincidentally has a dovetail front sight ILO the barrelband type of the H001M standard, making the installation of a different material front sight bead also easy.

The only plastic in/on the guns are the forward barrel band/sight of the H001/H001M Standard's, and the magazine follower of all Henrys (and most other modern tube-mag rifles out there).

Henry additionally has the BEST customer service in the industry, bar none - President Anthony Imperato personally answers every email sent to the company.   info@henryrepeating.com

My Henry H001 shoots great.  I contacted Henry about the creepy heavy trigger in my Henry.  The president of the company answered my e-mail.  He sent me the parts; no charge.  I installed them.  Great trigger now.  Excellent customer service.

Dick's and Gander Mountain always have .22LRs. Never mags though.

FWIW, the external angles & dimensions of the receivers & buttstocks (and forends) of both the Standard 22lr and .22 Mag, are identical to those of the .22lr or .22mag octagon barreled Frontiers - so handling one for LOP would be like handling any of the others.

Not true.............internals (action) is just as strong as the Marlins.  Only pot metal is the receiver cover that is made of Zamac.  Only reason for the Zamac cover is to cut down on weight and production cost.  Neither the Zamac receiver cover or the plastic barrel band affects the function of the rifle which has the smoothest action of any lever produced.  Trigger pull is 3.3 pounds on mine as compared to 6 plus pounds on the Marlin.  A smooth and light trigger pull is 50% of the accuracy ability so the Henry wins there also.  Advantage of the Marlin is it is easier to clean and will last through several generations with it's all steel receiver, where as the Henry will probable only last through 2-3 generations before one has to buy a new receiver cover at maybe $30.  I love my Marlin center fires but the quality and reliability (FTF, FTE, monster lawyer proof trigger) of the latest Marlin 39A's simply stink.  having said all that, if you should find one of the older Marlin 39A's, snatch it up as they are not the same gun that is being produced today.  If not, then get the Henry and you'll be a happy camper for years to come.

I have a 'standard' Henry .22 lever.  I bought it some years ago when Henry guns were still pretty 'new,' at least to my part of the country.  The action is so wonderfully smooth, it's almost hard to believe.  It's a very reliable gun, fun, has very nice wood on it, and shoots great.  It was a truck gun for me before I quit farming, so although it wasn't abused, it's been solidly used.  I've had occasion to contact Henry a couple of times to ask some questions, and the responses (both content and approach) have been honest, straight-forward, and second to none in terms of customer service.  I've even had the company respond to me on a website before when I was attempting to figure something out about my gun.

Based on my experience with both the gun and the company, I have decided that any time I have a firearms need or desire in the future that Henry meets, they will be the first (and likely only) gun I will consider for the job.

I just picked up a 22 mag . I love it. Nice & smooth. action & trigger.  Accuracy is real good too.
