223 choate and BC range report
« on: February 08, 2010, 03:58:19 AM »
Like Quick said about 100yds is all the standard sites on the BC is good for
that is with 405gr. It has a different recoil than my 22" barrel, more of a push
than trying to jump off the bench. I am going to be looking for different
front site.
The 223 with the choate varmint stock did ok with 40 and 55gr but think it can do better. I tried 4 rounds of hornady TAP 70gr, NO WORKY key hole
all four. Going to play with it some more seemed to like the 40gr best.
