Judgment day is upon him. He is facing the unborn he helped kill and the marines who he emboldened the terrorists to kill. I cannot shed a tear for his passing. I may have to go have a beer in celebration of his death. Hopefully him and Teddy are seated next to each other in the lake of fire.

While I do not normally celebrate anyones death, I believe that there is a justice for everyone, if not in this world, then most certainly in the next. Murtha is receiving his Judgement now, and I believe our world is better for it.

Wherever he went I hope God made him look at the faces of the millions of murdered babies he helped kill. I see no loss to America. I'm sure he had loved ones who will miss him and for them I pray that God will comfort them, but I don't feel sorry for him. POWDERMAN.

John Murtha rose through the ranks to be a Marine drill instructor at Paris Island in the 1950's. He returned to active duty and volunteered for Vietnam in the 1960's where he received the bronze star and 2 purple hearts. Someone may not like his political beliefs but it cannot be denied that John Murtha was a very patriotic American.

Those who knew Benedict Arnold said he was a very good soldier, but he changed his views didn't he.

John McCain was a good soldier, that was then, but things change & have little to do with his present view of things. I remember his good service & condemn his present actions.

I have heard good things about Murtha's service, which was a long time ago & things change.

These men all different & I am not putting them in the same block, even though all changed to varying degrees.

Some once good husbands & wives start running around on their spouses & leave them & their kids behind.
Sometimes people just go out in left field.

So for all people we must look at the whole picture.

I do feel Murtha's views veered way off of the values of most Americans & I opposed virtually everything that he PRESENTLY held, or up till he died.

I see no need to blast him now, what is done is done.
I do wish his family well.

TRUE, at one time he was, then he changed big time and became a politician. Sorry but john kerrys medals keep popping into my head. I thank murtha for what he once was. POWDERMAN.

I will never understand the callousness on this board of those who call themselves Christians on one hand, then spout such terrible hatred on the other. Even if you disagree with a mans politics , He is a man , he has a family , he is loved by those close to him, and he devoted his life to the service of others, stood for what he believed (even if you disagreed).

One of my best friends from the service and I agree on very little regarding politics , it certainly doesn't make him evil.
He has always had my back when thing have been tough through the years. He has cancer now and not long to live ,
And I will mourn his passing. He has been a great friend. Aand we have had many a healthy debate over our disagreements. You can still be on opposite sides politically , Yet show compassion, and have respect for a mans passing.

May god have mercy on him, and on these so called Christians who cannot seem to remember the lords Prayer.

murtha convicted active marines in a war zone without having all the facts. he stabbed his own marine brothers in the back. once upon a time he might have done some good, but i say he has done far more harm than he ever did good. and he used what little good he may have done as a platform to do the damage to ACTIVE DUTY MARINES IN A WAR ZONE. i view it the exact same thing as the terrorist b****rd shooting people at fort hood.

it sure is nice watching all the greedy powerwhores not cheat death. for all their money and power, look at them. murtha was still powerless to escape God; and now he is to be judged by Him, and Him alone. all i can tell you is i wont cry for him.

Why not try Hitler or Joe McCarthy if we want to slam someone by association. His values may not equal yours but the people of his district in PA have elected him numerous times.

He was a good example of how people can change in 50 to 60 years. I never saw any shred of evidence in his life as a politician that he was anything other than a bad person.

Never hurts to read the entire post before commenting on it.
I said the following: "These men are all DIFFERENT & I am not putting them in the same block, even though all changed to VARYING DEGREES" I made it a point to mention the fact that they are different & the only reason that these other men were brought up is a previous post that said what a great Patriot he was. Well, I would agree that he was as an active Marine, but something happened & that's not the first time. The real comparison if you had looked at it was the fact that all three men were good soldiers & that is why I specifically stated that & also stated the departure from that mentality later was quite different among the three, so better luck next time with that one, any objective person who actually read the entire post can see that.

Yes, he was elected several times & he got progressively worse, calling the people he should have been serving Rednecks & hints of Racism on their part. He would have been voted out just as so many are next go around no doubt. Not to mention the accusations of our boys.

Like I said in the first post, I wish his family well, I would rather not talk about some of his recent things in detail, so let's agree to disagree.

I was making a point to Beerbelly... John Murtha is no less a traitor , than John McCain. Just because we don't agree with all they do does not make them Traitors.

I was a little confused by his politics at times to say the least, but I still thank him for his service, and wish his family well.
