Ruger LCR
« on: February 09, 2010, 12:14:14 PM »
I just bought a new Ruger LCR and it has a rattle. I call the service department and was told this is common to all LCPs. Does anyone have a LCR with or without the rattle? What kind of speedloader does it use?
Thanks,
John B.

Mine has no rattle that I've found...now I haven't shot it much either.  I've not tried one but been told the speed loader is same as small frame(J frame) Smith.  :)  Walt

Mine will rattle it you shake it, I've read that it's the transfer bar assembly that is making that noise. It's doesn't rattle with normal walking or anything so it doesn't bother me.

Well...when I get home tonight, I guess I'll have to pick mine.......excuse me....pick my wife's up and shake it.  I've handle handled it quite a bit and never notice such.  But then...since my memory has gone, I forget how deaf I am too. ;D.

Well...I stand corrected....mine has a rattle too.  I don't see it as a problem.  I doubt I'd ever noticed if ya'll hadn't brought it up.  You really have to shake it to hear.
