peep sight options for t/c thunderhawk
« on: February 09, 2010, 02:37:15 PM »
hey guys i bought a t/c thunder hawk from the m/l classifieds (thanks bubba .50) to tinker with , clean up and make into a good open sighted deer gun shooting heavy full bore conical bullets over 90 grains or so of loose pyrodex .  i want to get a peep sight and maybe a fiber optic front . i have not been able to find any thing while searching the net . i won't be able to buy any thing for a while  just looking to see what options i have .

Another thought i had was a scout mounted LER scope . i have a good working japanese tasco 1.5x20 that would work well . any one try any thing like that on a muzzle loader ? i think it would be handy , and easier to clean and cap . i think the rear sight base screws on , so i could have a rail fitted that would need just one more whole d/t a few inches from there . what do you guys think ?

i will have a chance to better makeup my mind when it gets here .

I have a New Englander with a 2X Simmons pistol scope mounted forward.  Works fine.

Mathew where are you located? I have a tc factory peep sight for the thunder hawk if interested. I used to have it on a firehawk I had.
