Anybody know how (or what) to can in those old Ball jars with the wax groove around the top? How about clay jars w/ the same type seal?

My mom used to use them for jellies only.

Do you remember what the lids looked like? Did they have a rib that went down into the groove, or were they flat on the bottom?

She used melted wax to seal them. Don't remember the lids.
