We talk a lot, are we going to pound pavement?

I have an old, beat up Suburban that I am keeping for the sole purpose of hauling a group of my buddies around on the weekends to canvas for Congressman Gene Green's opponent, for Ron Paul, and for Mary Landrieu's opponent.

I am also looking hard at City Counsel, the judgeships, and other elected officials for whom I'll volunteer.

We can talk all we want, it is fun to pontificate :D :D :D; but, until we are willing to give up a few weekends at the range, we are going to lose the very freedoms we cherish.

I encourage us all to get busy, this is the time Reagan spoke of when he said the following:

you're right skarke.  I've gotten lazy, haven't harassed any congress people in awhile.  I never could figure out how to keep my cool once I got going though...  :o

That is the only way it can be done. Just think how quick we could turn this around if everyone would join in. But..............

Me too, I complain that the Republican party stinks in Wyo, and it does so we have a Democrat governor at a time when we need a GOOD republican. This time I'm not going to depend on the party, I'm going to decide which candidate I like best and do some work for them in the primary.

What do you mean the right 40% and how do I carry out that duty ?
Now I preach voting here, a lot.
If statistics are correct, and they are, what I am saying is that only 40% of the folks, here, vote in any election yet they complain.
It is an air of complacancy that prevaids America---we talk but don't do.
If all voted as if there was a penalty of death for not voting--some still would not, and, bitch.

To cast a vote without knowledge of whom you choose is a receipe for what we have now.
Vote! Equates to: cast your thought to the wind, let it land where it may.
It is our duty to learn who to vote for and support that person. Action and time is required, by us.

The irony in all this is last time a whole bunch more people voted they voted for Obama... :P  Seems a whole bunch of younger people who never voted before jumped on the big Obama fad.  Now I'm sitting here kind of chuckling at the irony of it all, and thinking we'd be better off staying with just the 40%.

I sometimes think life is funny, I always tried to get lot's of people voting and telling them how important it was.  Might keep my mouth shut now.  ;)
