bipod use and forearm

I want to use a bipod for my sporter weight 30-30 barrel.  Which forend would work best?  I am looking at a wooden forend from Gunstocks, the Choate synthetic sporter forearm, or the Choate varmint forearm.  Will the varmint forearm work with the sporter barrel?  If you were to choose, which one would work the best?  Are there other choices I am not considering?  Does the Gunstock forearm come with the spacer?

I have a choate varmit forearm on a 223 standard barrel and their is room
for a bull barrel. have not put a bipod on it but i am looking for one.

There's my 223 with the choate fore arm.I used the machine bolt on stud from Wally world.Works fine.Slow

Is that the varminter forend?  How did you get the bipod so close to the hinge?
