Here is an odd carriage I stumbled on. It is a front pintle Barbette type but it is really different. It said it is at Oslo Castle. A breech loader. Is any one familiar with it?

That looks like a European Engstrom carriage. Another attempt to control recoil that didn't work very well.

Interesting design, looks like it cams along the slope, it must have been a bear to reset after every shot.....
I can see why the later ones depended on other methods to raise them than actual man power.

It's listed as unidentified..... By the looks of it there is a gear on the right side that
would aid in moving it back into battery.

The barrel appears to be a muzzle-loader converted to a breech-loader.

It strikes me as odd that with the mechanical sophistication of the carriage that they are still using a quoin for elevation. Or am I missing something?
