Picked this one up yesterday. I have had my eye out for a .22 auto for a while and had contemplated buying a new 22/45, but ran across this one used and it called to me. From just pictures I never figured I'd like the grip of the these compared to the 22/45, but when I picked it up it felt very good in the hand. Serial # says this one was made in 1971.
Has a bit (ok, more than a bit
) of wear on the bluing, but the bore is like a mirror and the magazine is brand new (they included it in a sealed package as the shop said when the gun was originally sold to them it was missing the magazine so they just threw in a new one with it.
Haven't formally grouped it yet, but I took it out back for some plinking and was hitting a soda can pretty good - function was fine for the 3 magazine's worth of ammo I put through it.
I might have overpaid just a tad (got it for $215), but for some reason I just liked it
.
