Need help with gun buy...
« on: February 14, 2010, 02:29:31 PM »
Found a local 10ga Pardner, camo stock.  Price is right and no shipping issues.

Owner says it's an SB2.  But the FAQs note shotguns are SB1s.

I want to get rifle barrel... .243, 30-30 or 45-70.  Does the 10ga use an SB2 receiver unlike other shotguns?

I'd know if I see the gun apart, based on FAQ pictures, but wondering if it's worth the drive and getting owners hopes up.

Please advise.  He wants to meet tomorrow afternoon.

saw it posted somewhere else recently; a 10 ga only fits an SB2 shotgun receiver that does not work with sb2 rifle barrels.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

IIRC the 10 Ga is kinda the redheaded step child... Most shotguns are SB1's, but the 10GA is not a true SB2 but its not a SB1 either. Its physically bigger than the std SB2 receivers and isn't a good candidate for what you want... Rifle barrels or any other shotgun sans the USH 12Ga will not fit.

Yeah, that's what I figured.  It's $150, so I wondered why it sounded too good to be true.

Thanks... I'll keep looking.

No, I need a rifle, and I was hoping this would work, and I could sell/swap the 10ga barrel.  Glad I found this forum before I dropped the money on something I don't want.

Be Well.
