Single Shot
« on: February 15, 2010, 06:27:04 AM »
Freedom is starting to ship their new single shot.  I received mine last Friday.  It is really neat and seems built to their normal tight specs.  Now if we didn't have so much snow I could get out and play with it.  Oh, mine is in 6.5 x 55.

Got mine last week as well ... 223 and 7-08.  Still waiting on a scope for the 7-08, but got the 223 zeroed yesterday.  In between 30mph wind gusts, I managed to do 3/8" at 50 yards with it - as far as I could go down in the hole away from the worst of the wind.

Congrats to both  of you.
Interested in hearing about 100 yard groups and chronoed MV's.

I would like to know if it recoils like a single action, (rolls up) or is it more similar to a thompson center.  Congratulations on your acquisitions.

They've got so much weight out front that they don't really roll.

Friend called me the other day and was telling me about the FA SS.  The barrel he was shooting was in 223 and it shot a 1/2 group @ 100 yards with factory ammo-He is very pleased to say the least.
