Mold for 32/20, 327 Federal Ruger Blackhawk
« on: February 15, 2010, 06:28:41 AM »
Veral,
I am becoming the proud owner of a Ruger Blackhawk 6 shot chambered in 32/20 and soon to be .327 Federal (32 mag lengthened 1/8").  What design specs would you recomend for "do it all", walkin' around and general varmint type chores (this means FUN up to the size of wild dogs).  Thanks for your time Veral.

Even the 32 mag has capabilites beyond the imagination of most shooters who haven't used it with my 120 gr FN, shipping out at 1400 fps.  A European customer killed a 400 pound boar with it, getting complete penetration broadside through the shoulders.  The hog went down within 10 feet after being hit.

That's the bullet I recommend for you.  Going a little faster will just add a bit of cream to the performance.

That sounds great Veral.  Admittedly this is my first .32 so I am really looking forward to developing some loads for it.  Thanks for the input.
