Pistol length ballistic charts?

Does anyone know a website that has ballisitics/trajectory tables for cartridges used in Contender pistols? I am looking to add a couple barrels to round out a bit but am having a hard time finding info in pistol length barrels and their performance. Thanks!

Each individual pistol is a critter unto it's self. So you have to know what velocity with what bullet you are using and the only way to know is to shoot it over a chronograph. There are loading manuals that have data that will get you into the ballpark of what a caliber/bullet weight will do. There are many ballistic charts around. Speer and Sierra have charts in their manuals for their bullets. There is a ballistic calculator I have seen on the web and I thought I had it marked in my bookmarks but I can't find it. Maybe someone on here will have the link. You have to know the ballistic coefficient of your bullet and the velocity you will be pushing it. It will give you a drop chart for it.

Bullberry had some reloading and velocity charts on their webb site at one time. Have to check.........

The Lyman Reloading Handbooks have a separate section in them for all the standard cartridges for TC pistols.   My older 47th Edition only has Contender cartridges, but maybe the newer editions from Lyman include the Encores as well now.    Would at least give you the info needed to run through any on-line ballistics application for the answers you want.   Either way the Lyman book is a great addition to have in your reloading room.

As SU said (Hey Glen), some of the 3rd party barrel makers offered some data at one time, but usually just for proprietary cartridges they authored or specific test cartridges they ran for whatever reason.   Regardless, they don't all still make them readily available to the public due to liability concerns and only provide them to you if you buy a barrel from them in one of those chamberings.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will have to pick up a Lyman book. It will go nicely with the 6 others I have  . As long as it adds some more useful information I am good to go.

There are also reloading manuals just for the T/C Contender.

Thanks Gary, I have some of those books for other calibers and never thought to look for it for the TC.
