I talked to a lady I had known for many years today. She had already been scheduled for shoulder surgery and asked her church to lay on the hands and pray over her, they did. Surgery was cancelled, the problem didn't exist anymore. Prayer is a powerful thing, available to all. Use it, God loves you. Praise the Lord. POWDERMAN.
Rockbilly;
About 25 years ago, I was chairman of the Deacon board in a dynamic, growing Baptist church. As Powdermanspoke of, we had a teenaged lad from the congregation who had been travelling to and from the city consulting doctors and having all sorts of tests, because he was losing control of his left side as in a stroke..except more slowly.
Finally came the news...he had a masssive brain tumor and was scheduled for surgery on the following Monday. On Thursday night, the Pastor and Deacon's board ushered Ron back to the Pastor's office where we prayed over him, laying on hands. (1 Tim 4:14)
Monday, taking final tests and imaging before surgery...there could be found NO traces of any tumor. The surgeon called off the operation.
Ron did not regain every bit of what he lost, since he does still have one "slow arm"..but he is much better than he was and is still among the living here.
Rockbilly, prayers continue here.and if you're involved wityh a Bible-believing & teaching local church, do seek prayer help there. If you are not currently allied with such a local church, now is a good time to get involved...all will understand...
May God bless !
