Joe The Plumber update
« on: February 16, 2010, 05:05:44 PM »
Washington (CNN) - He was one of the faces of John McCain's presidential campaign in 2008, but Joe Wurzelbacher - better known to the world as "Joe the Plumber" - is apparently finished with the Arizona senator.

"John McCain is no public servant," Wurzelbacher said at a campaign rally Saturday in Pennsylvania for long shot gubernatorial candidate Sam Rohrer. Later, in an interview with Pennsylvania Public Radio, he dismissed the suggestion that he owes his fame to McCain.

"I don't owe him sh*t," Wurzelbacher said. "He really screwed my life up, is how I look at it."

"McCain was trying to use me," he said. "I happened to be the face of middle Americans. It was a ploy."

Wurzelbacher said he's also done with Sarah Palin because she is backing McCain's re-election bid in Arizona.

I figure McCain as a liberal.

He wasn't my choice and won the nomination with around 30% or the vote.  That means 70% didn't vote for him.

The 2008 election had two terrible choices, kind of a "pick your poison" IMO

Joe is correct, they used him.

Hell yes they used him, they're pure politicians, they manipulate and use people for a living. McCain flopped around like a fish trying to please both sides when it was convenient for him. My only question would be how ignorant or naive is "Joe" that he thought they just wanted him for his good looks and brilliant speech? He's still working an angle, possible book or what else is he looking for?

If Sarah is a joke, she's a joke that I'd vote for any day over the dirty joke that runs this country right now.

Maybe common sense and right minded principles are a joke to some of you, but it's what this country needs and not some politically correct know it all liberal puke.

I like Sarah and I like Hannity but it seems like they both get a little "old" real quick!  Why?  Is it too much of the good ole boy thing or that they just seem to lack polish??  Somewhere in this great land there has to be a leader that is honest, has integrity, uncompromising, seeks the high road, and believes in GOD.  Why can't we find him??

oh they are out there, but they will never come forth right now. The American people do not trust anyone from either party.  It would take a person with no party affiliation and no political background to win the people over.  A more or less common mans candidate for real,  and the two big political powers will never let that happen. A politician is just that a politician regardless of the colors he or she wears, underneath they are all slime.

Hope we don't have another Perot deal where he ran and split the right and then the dems won.  Do you think the Republicans and independents can reach a common ground??

I have come to the conclusion that the American voter gets what they deserve. They ignore voting records of the two major party candidates, and also ignore other Independent candidates, just because their not Republican or Democrat.
They say the third party candidates can't win, because they don't have enough support. Of course they don't have enough support to win. The folks saying they don't have enough support, won't support them. But they will complain about the ones that get elected. From both parties. Go figure.
If you always do, what you've always done, you always get, what you've always got. They always have, and they always will.
I'm gonna keep voting for the 100% Pro Constitution and Bill of Rights candidates, and watch the country go to hell, with the other's candidates winning, over, and over, and over. When it's all gone, maybe, if there's anything left, we can start over.

No more votes of confidence for Mrs Palin. She jumped off her Alaska agenda into acting like she had no idea what it was. May she slide quietly into obliveon. eddie

I haven't given up on Mrs. Palin just yet. I do feel, and have said so, that she needs to divest herself of the Republican Party, but then again I think the voter also needs to divest himself from the Republican Party. A Republican seems to be a Republican first, and an American if it's necessary, to get a vote. Once the vote is obtained, then it's back to being a Republican.
I will wait and see what Mrs. Palin "actually does", and not what I "hear" she is doing. If she does run for the presidential nomination, I will see what party she picks, and in advance assume it will be the Republican Party, but will see whom she picks as a running mate if she gets that far. I will not abandon the Independent candidate that is 100% Constitution, and Bill of Rights, unless I feel sure she is also, and her running mate also.
I am under no illusion however, that the voter will do what he has always done, and we all will pay for it.

Well I'm not backin Rick Perry, or Kay Bailey. I am backing Medina (hope I spelled her name right). Perry has been jumpin on the Tea Party band wagon, and I really need to take a closer look at his record before I abandon him entirely. Medina is sayin the right things down here, but she says she doesn't have the money to run a big campagin, and most Texans sadly vote the lessor of two evils down here too.
Kay Bailey messed her britches with me when she jumped on that first bailout with McCain and the others. She is a Republican first.

Well he coulda been. There was a lot of finger pointin goin on when they were tryin to get that done. Like I said, I need to do some research. I'm as usual leanin toward a third party, or Medina anyway. I think they all need to go get a real job.

Newt Gingrich? Good Lord man, have you forgotten he was leading the pack in railing about Clinton and Lewinsky immorality, and all the while had one on the side himself? It's why he left office. He's a REPUBLICAN HYPOCRIT.
Just like when he endorsed the Republican in the last NY race, and when she got behind in the polls to the Independent, she endorsed the Democrat. Gingrich never uttered a peep. If the Republican can't have it, they willingly give it to the Democrat to keep everyone else out of the monopoly.
He's a Republican FIRST! And an American when necessary.

Joe the plumber got his 15 minutes of fame, which was what he wanted. He has no substance.
Both McCain and Obama tried to "use" him to their benefit in their speeches. All three need a new job.
