just received 4x14x40 with duplex recticle. my opinion, is vx1 repackaged,priced lower to get customers used to the name. not knocking the vx1, just seems to be a marketing gimmick. fwiw

  The new Redfields look to me like one heck of a good deal.  To me they look like the best deal in a low priced scope going today, and folks should be jumping on the band wagon.  I bet the price will be going up as soon as they get a bunch of them sold!

I agree. As soon as everyone starts telling everyone else how good these new Redfields are there goes the price. So far I have heard a number of positive comments.
