Manual concerning my Taurus 85 Ultra Lite ??

I read that is ok to fire Plus P's in it .But the manual says that 38 sp using a 158  SWC should be no more then  750 FPS . Thats alot  slower  then a  Plus P right  ?
I use  lite loads in it anyway 3 grs of bullseye but just wondered why they say one thing and the manual another ?

The manual I saw listed the factory standard loadings for cartridges and a warning under it about usage of +P in non-+P rated guns. Also in the manual it says not to use +P lead bullets as they may jump crimp, but suggest safe usage with jacketed +P bullets. I saw nothing that says not to use +P ammo in their Ultra revovlers.
