As I recall, both are da/sa semi-autos and pretty similar in heft and appearance. I think I prefer the Beretta though for the reason, IIRC, that the Beretta can be carried cocked and locked in sa mode similar to the 1911. I don't think the Browning functions that way. However, either pistol is a quality handgun. I have a older Beretta M70 in 380 and wouldn't give it up, unless I could find a pristine Beretta M34 or 35..... or a Browning M1930 (?) (single action hammerless semi-auto with grip safety).....just a thought. HTH.
